Establishment of the Centre

  • The center was established by the Dakahlia Governor allocation decision, No 1136 in July 11, 1996, and the approval of the University Board, No 750 in May 19, 1997.

Center Mission

  • In the mission framework of the Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University, the Experimental Research Center at Qalabshow and Zayan seeks to solve problems facing the agricultural production activities in the fields of agronomic, animal and fishery production in the surrounding community
  • Working on the development of agricultural production by using scientific techniques that result in an abundance and improvement in the production.

Objectives of the Centre

  • Contribute in the implementation of agricultural projects for the university and providing it with its needs.
  • Contribute in the training of students on using modern scientific techniques to keep pace with the development in both methodology and knowledge in agricultural fields (crop, vegetable, animal, poultry, fishery, dairy, food industry, honey, etc).
  • Establishing cultural and scientific protocols with other universities and scientific institutions at both regional and international levels.
  • Carry out agricultural production activities in the fields of livestock and fisheries and provide technical consultancy to stakeholders.
  • Organizing training courses (theoretical and practical) for professional development of engineers and workers in the field of agricultural production.
