Program vision
Upgrading and excellence in agricultural engineering and biological system sciences and their applications to prepare specialized and qualified allumni to cope up the needs of labor market in order to make the program one of the best agricultural engineering and biological systems programs locally and regionally.

يلتزم برنامج الهندسة الزراعية والنظم الحيوية بإعداد خريجين ملمين بالمعارف، المهارات، قيم وضوابط الممارسات المهنية لمجالات الهندسة الزراعية والنظم الحيوية ومؤهلين لتلبية احتياجات سوق العمل المحلي والإقليمي والريادة في إجراء البحوث العلمية لمواكبة التطورات العالمية ونقل المعارف وتوطين التقنية حرصاً على خدمة متميزة لتنمية البيئة وخدمة المجتمع.
Program Mission
The Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems Program is committed to prepare graduates to be familiar with the knowledge, skills, values and obligations of professional practices in the fields of agricultural engineering and biosystems and to be qualified to meet the needs of the local and regional labor market and becoming a pioneer in conducting scientific research to cope with global developments, transfer knowledge and localize technology in order to provide a distinguished service for environmental development and community service.
الأهداف العامة للبرنامج :
يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى إعداد خريج قادر على:
- استخدام المعارف والمفاهيم وتطبيق المهارات المكتسبة من دراستة بالبرنامج.
- إدارة وتشغيل وصيانة الآلات والمعدات الزراعية والقوى الزراعية.
- إدارة وتشغيل معدات التصنيع الغذائي ومعاملات ما بعد الحصاد.
- تخطيط وصيانة شبكات الري والصرف الحقلى وإدارة المصادر المائية والأرضية.
- استغلال مصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة بما يساهم في ترشيد استخدام الموارد ومصادر الطاقة التقليدية في الزراعة.
- إدارة محطات الميكنة الزراعية ومنشآت الإنتاج الحيواني والداجني والزراعات المحمية والمطاحن والمضارب.
- التخطيط لإنشاء مصانع الأغذية ومراقبة خطوط الإنتاج في ضوء القوانين والتشريعات الزراعية ومعايير الجودة وصحة وسلامة الغذاء.
- تصميم وتنفيذ برامج استصلاح الأراضي وإدارة الموارد الزراعية.
- يساهم في إعداد دراسات الجدوى للمشاريع الزراعية بما ينعكس على تلبية احتياجات سوق العمل المحلى والإقليمي.
- الالتحاق ببرامج الدراسات العليا والعمل بقطاع البحوث الزراعية.
Program objectives
1- Using the knowledge and concepts and applying the skills gained from studying the program.
2- Management, operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery and farm powers.
3- Management and operation of food processing equipment and post-harvest treatments.
4- Planning and maintaining irrigation and field drainage networks, and managing water and land resources.
5- Utilization new and renewable energy sources in a way that contributes to rationalizing the use of resources and traditional energy sources in agriculture.
6- Management of agricultural mechanization stations, animal and poultry production facilities, protected crops, mills and grinders.
7- Planning for establishing food factories and monitoring production lines in the light of agricultural laws and legislation, quality standards, health and food safety.
8- Designing and implementing land reclamation programs and agricultural resource management.
9- Contributes to the preparation of feasibility studies for agricultural projects, which will be reflected in meeting the needs of the local and regional labor market.
10- Student qualification to attend graduate studies and work in the field of research.
