As part of its commitment to actively engage in national and university initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and promoting a culture of accreditation, the Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University, participated in the events of the “New Beginning for Quality Assurance in Education” initiative, launched by the University on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The event was attended by Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University; Prof. Alaa Ashmawy, President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education; in addition to the University Vice Presidents, senior officials of the Authority, deans of faculties, faculty members, as well as media and press representatives.

The Faculty of Agriculture was represented by a distinguished student delegation, headed by Prof. Mohamed Ali Shata, Dean of the Faculty, and supervised by Prof. Heba Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit. The event was also attended by Prof. Saleh El-Sayed Saada, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Walid Omar Nassar, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Assoc. Prof. Marwa Ramadan, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit; and Mr. Medhat Ismail, Faculty Secretary.

The Faculty was keen to ensure that the participation of its students would reflect its continuous commitment to disseminating a culture of quality and accreditation among its students, developing their skills and competencies, and preparing them to meet the demands of the labor market, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.

Prof. Mohamed Ali Shata, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that the participation of agriculture students in this initiative represents an important step towards strengthening their awareness of quality and accreditation concepts, and their role as key partners in building a modern educational system based on efficiency and excellence.

Prof. Heba Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, praised the great enthusiasm shown by the students and their eagerness to actively engage with the activities and training programs of the initiative.

The event concluded with the University President honoring the leaders of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and the organizers of the initiative, in recognition of their efforts in supporting the University and its students.
