Reception of a Delegation from Banat University, Romania under the Erasmus+ Program
Within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ program for faculty exchange, Professor Yasser Shabana, Director of the Seed Pathology and Tissue Culture Laboratory, and Director of the Electron Microscope Unit at Mansoura University, received on Thursday, October 2, 2025, a high-level scientific delegation from Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine – Timisoara, Romania.
The delegation included Professor Hutu Ioan, Professor of Animal Production; Dr. Oana-Maria, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; Dr. Jelena Savic, Professor of Histology; and Dr. Serban Blaga, Lecturer in Animal Production.
The visit comprised a tour of the Seed Pathology and Tissue Culture Laboratory, accredited according to ISO 17025:2017, in addition to the Electron Microscope Unit at Mansoura University. The delegation was introduced to the research and service capabilities available, which contribute to strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two universities.
This visit came on the sidelines of the Romanian delegation’s participation in an international conference hosted by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University. The delegation was accompanied during their visit by Professor Hazem Hassan Ramadan, Professor of Zoonotic Diseases; Dr. Shady Mohamed Mostafa Shalaby, Lecturer of Pathology; and Dr. Fady Youssef Attallah, Assistant Lecturer of Physiology
