Launch of the 11th Graduate Rehabilitation and Employment Forum at the Faculty of Agriculture with the participation of 40 entities
800 specialized field training opportunities, 100 direct employment opportunities, and 300 qualification opportunities for final-year students
Under the patronage of Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development, inaugurated the 11th Graduate Training and Employment Forum at the Faculty of Agriculture on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, with the participation of more than 40 entities, companies, and institutions working in the agricultural sector and related sectors.
The opening was attended by Dr. Mohamed Ali Shata, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Metwally Mohamed Abu Saree, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Walid Omar Nassar, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, department heads and program directors, Dr. Amr Gabr, Forum Rapporteur and Director of the Career Development and Alumni Follow-up Office, Dr. Heba Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, a group of faculty members, and about 550 final-year students and college graduates, in addition to a distinguished group of graduates who serve as successful and inspiring role models for students.
The forum comes within the framework of Mansoura University's keenness to support its graduates and qualify them for the job market, and to strengthen partnerships with production and service institutions, thereby contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals and linking university education outcomes to the needs of the agricultural job market.
The forum began with a special session on strategic partnerships to discuss ways of academic and agricultural cooperation. During this session, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim emphasized that organizing the forum for the qualification and employment of graduates comes within the framework of Mansoura University's strategic approach to supporting and qualifying its students and graduates for the job market and strengthening partnerships with production and service institutions, thereby contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
He explained that the university is keen to adopt the concept of comprehensive employment, which is not limited to providing job opportunities, but extends to capacity building and skills development, and supporting a culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment. He pointed out that the sessions that integrate the agricultural community with the academic community reflect the university's interest in transforming academic knowledge into real productive projects.
He added that the forum is an effective platform for direct communication between students, graduates, and representatives of the labor market, and has yielded tangible results in the form of training, qualification, and employment opportunities, reflecting the success of the cooperation between the university and the participating entities.
The opening session of the forum began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech entitled “Building Bridges: The Faculty's Vision for Linking Education to the Agricultural Job Market,” which addressed the role of the Faculty of Agriculture in aligning educational programs with the needs of the job market and promoting training and employment opportunities.
Dr. Mohamed Shata emphasized that the faculty places the qualification of students and graduates at the top of its priorities by developing educational programs and linking them to practical applications and the needs of the agricultural labor market.
He noted that the broad participation of companies and institutions reflects the labor market's confidence in the graduates of the Faculty of Agriculture at Mansoura University and in the scientific and technical level offered by the faculty, pointing out that the forum represents an important link between university education and various applied fields.
He added that the faculty is keen to support innovation and agricultural entrepreneurship and encourage students to engage in practical experiences that contribute to preparing them for a successful and competitive professional future.
In this context, Dr. Metwally Mohamed Abu Saree emphasized that the forum is part of the college's plan to strengthen its community role and link the educational process to the needs of the labor market by providing real opportunities for training, qualification, and employment, and building effective partnerships with production and service institutions.
He explained that the college is keen to offer quality programs that contribute to the development of the personal and professional skills of students and graduates, enabling them to compete in the agricultural labor market, in line with the state's policies in supporting sustainable development and innovation.
The forum then witnessed extensive dialogue sessions moderated by Dr. Amr Gabr, the forum's rapporteur, with the participation of participating companies and institutions, under the title "The Labor Market Map: Skills and Opportunities in the Agricultural Sector," where company representatives discussed current and future labor market requirements, the technical and personal skills required of graduates, and available training and employment opportunities.
As part of the support for entrepreneurial projects, a dialogue session was held for project financiers entitled “From Idea to Project: Mechanisms for Supporting Agricultural Innovation,” during which the financing and support mechanisms available to young people were reviewed, as well as ways to transform student initiatives into successful projects.
Discussion sessions were also dedicated to graduates under the titles “Inspiring Models” and "Ambassadors of Success: Inspiring Experiences from the Classroom to the Field," in which ten successful college graduates participated, reviewing their professional experiences and paths to success in the job market, as well as the challenges they faced, thereby inspiring and motivating students to consciously plan their professional futures.
The forum concluded with a closing session entitled “Forum Harvest: Announcement of Forum Outcomes and Training and Employment Opportunities,” during which 800 specialized field training opportunities and 100 opportunities were announced.
