"Sustainability in Food and Water: An Arab Viewpoint" Conference

The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries' Arab Regional Office (TWAS-ARO) will hold its 12th Annual Meeting, 18-19 December 2016. This will be the first meeting to be held outside Alexandria at the Dead Sea, Jordan, in cooperation with the Arab Open University (AOU).

On the occasion of its annual meeting, an inter-disciplinary forum on food security and water scarcity in the Arab region will be held titled: "Sustainability in Food and Water: An Arab Viewpoint".

The conference will bring together TWAS-ARO members and young affiliates, along with other distinguished speakers, to discuss the food security and water scarcity in the Arab region. It will also tackle the correlation between the water and food, how to build sustainable systems and frameworks, as well as how to strengthen the networks among the policy makers and scientific committees. It will address the way Food and Water sustainability improves human well-being, environmental maintenance and food and water saving resources.
