The Scientific Committee for The Abdul Hameed Shoman Arab Researchers Award, at Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation announces the opening of accepting nomination applications for the year 2014 in the following research fields and specializations noting that the deadline for submission of applications has extended till the end of march 2015

Agricultural Sciences

• Biodiversity conservation.
• Animal Breeding and livestock improvement

Applied Sciences:

• Novel methods of alternative energy and its usages, including: energy research, modern energy systems and water desalination.
• Climate change and impact on the environment.

The award is granted in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements such that its dissemination contributes to the advancement of scientific and applied knowledge and to solving problems of main concern at the local, regional and global levels in addition to promoting a culture for scientific research.
