International Forum on “Harnessing Women’s Talents in Science, Technology and Innovation” 25-26 May 2015 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
STRUCTURE OF PROGRAMME
The proposed forum will take the structure of key note addresses and panel discussions. The main objectives are mainly to share perspectives in devising strategies to address the imbalance of women participation in science, technology and engineering in the business and government sectors as well as prospects for the future. The duration is one and a half-day and both international and local speakers from various sectors of science and technology will be invited.
PARTICIPANTS
Participants will be mainly women in higher and middle level management in science and technology related sectors from Malaysia, developing countries and ISESCO member countries from the private and government sectors as well as non-government sectors involved in science and technology. The forum will have about 100-120 participants.
OUTCOME
It is expected that Forum will identify strategies and recommendations on how women in science and technology can be made visible in the organisation and on how their potential can be maximised to benefit both the women and the organisation.
FORUM DURATION AND VENUE
The one and a half-day forum will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 25 to 26 May 2015.
TRAVEL
International participants will be expected to cover their own travel expenses and make their own travel arrangements to Kuala Lumpur. Participants should plan to arrive on 24 May 2015 and departing on 27 May 2015.
