Mansoura University Council approved to grant university awards that are (Merit, Encouragement, Scientific Excellence, Scientific Innovation and the best Ph.D. and M.A thesis) for 2016.

The awards were given for three of the Faculty of Agriculture members, for their excellence in scientific research as follows:

The Encouragement Awards
The award was given to Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud Azzam - Department of Poultry Production

The Scientific Innovation Awards
In the field of veterinary and agricultural sciences:
The award was given to Dr. Mohammad Hassan Bayoumi - Department of Economic Entomology

The best Ph.D. Thesis
The award was given to Dr. Nuran Abdel-Hamid Ibrahim - Department of Agricultural Economics
