Nawah 2017 - Innovation Award for Social Entrepreneurship
Nawah’s Social Entrepreneurship Challenge has as objective to contribute to a flourishing, collaborative and conscious entrepreneurship ecosystem by empowering young entrepreneurs, to develop their skills, capabilities and expand their network and resources.
Nawah is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to compete in a country-wide challenge, to show-case their business idea. Ideas are selected based on sustainability, social problem solving ability (impact) and innovation. Finalists will get an invitation to the Egypt Entrepreneurship Summit that will take place in Hurghada in November, and tailored training. Winners can win: financial prizes up to 60,000 EGP, mentoring, online and offline exposure.
In 2017, we will select business ideas in three categories*:
- ‘Youth’ - a general category: you need to be over 18 years and under 35 years old.
- ‘Schools’ - you need to be younger than 19 years old and enrolled in a high school.
- ‘Art and Culture’ - your business is operating in the field of art and/or culture (either artistic, developing skills of artists, spreading artistic practices or development through art & culture by using art as a means for community development/critical thinking)
*It is possible that your start-up falls into more than one category, In all tracks women are highly encouraged to apply.
The deadline for applying is the 1st of October 2017.
