The Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector of the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with the British Council and the British Embassy in Egypt announces opening applying for the funded grants program within the framework of the "Newton- Mosharafa" agreement for competitive grants which is signed by the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The Fund brings together the British and Egyptian scientific research and innovation sectors to find joint solutions to the challenges facing Egypt in economic development and social welfare.

In the period from 13/08/2017 until 15/10/2017

support projects in five priority areas:

• Sustainable water management
• Renewable energy
• Sustainable food production
• Archaeology and cultural heritage
• Affordable and inclusive healthcare
