General Secretariat announced of the Khalifa International Date Palm Award the eighth session 2016. The award in five categories for all farmers and producers, researchers, experts, academics and specialists, scholars and all lovers of the date palm Tree in the world.

The award shall consist of a trophy carrying the winner's name, a certificate in the winner's name indicating the award category with the date and a financial reward specified as follows:

First category: Distinguished Research / Studies
Second Category: Distinguished Producers
Third Category: The Best New Technique
Fourth Category: The Best Development Project
Fifth Category: Distinguished Figure

Application period runs : from 01 June - 30 October 2015
