President of Mansoura University in a visit to the training and production units in the Faculty of Agriculture

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kenawy; President of Mansoura University; in the presence of Prof. Dr. Yasser Hadidi- Dean-, Prof. Dr. Yasser Shabana- Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research-, Prof. Dr. Adel Hassan- Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs-, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shata- Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamed El-Wakil- Professor of plant Pathology; visited the training and production units belonging to the Fac. of Agriculture for monitoring their progress and to discuss approaches for enhancing their production, research and training roles.

On the occasion, the outcomes of the research projects to enhance the yield of Sugar Beet and Wheat led by Prof. Mohamed El-Wakil and Prof. Ahmed Nader, respectively, were inspected and verified.

Acknowledging the significance of the projects’ outcomes, Prof. Kenawy stressed the importance of developing research units and agricultural production‘s facilities in parallel with modernization of teaching and learning strategies for the Fac. of Agriculture’s students for raising productivity of principal agricultural crops thereby, reducing food imports and ensuring food security.
