The first training workshop on “Plant Tissue Culture Techniques for Banana and Date palm" which was held at the Laboratory of Seed Diseases and Tissue Cultures, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University, from 7 - 9 February, 2017 was successfully concluded.

The workshop’s trainees were faculty members from colleges of Agriculture and Science, and their evaluation to the workshop indicated that it has achieved its objectives: to become acquainted with the tissue culture lab components, prepare tissue culture media, sequence the steps and use instruments for tissue culture protocols in Banana and Date palm, and identify possible problems that might occur during tissue culture stages and how they could be overcomed.
